Foam Materials Guide From The Experts
Our lives and work are filled with foam that provide endless possibilities for our convenience and social advancement. Find out what foam can do for you and what techniques use on foam production, all on Foam Spirit.
Common See Foam Material Types
Join Foam Spirit to learn the basics of foam fabricate manufacturing and how to choose a reliable foam fabrication producer.
EVA Foam
EVA foams are made from ethylene vinyl acetate and blended copolymer resins. It comes in different colors and densities from 30 to 280 kg/m3. Buns are made from closed cell crosslinked foam that’s formed in a mould.
Cross-Linked Polyethylene Foam
PE foam is a closed-cell, cross-linked, expanded foam made of polyethylene polymer resin. Densities range from 30 kg/m3 to 300 kg/m3. PE foam can be extruded in planks, sheets, or custom profiles.
Expanded Polyethylene Foam
EPE foam is an extruded polyethylene foam that offers semi-hardness, non-crosslinking, and closed cell structure. The density ranges from 23 kg/m3 to 27 kg/m3, and they come in sheets or rolls.
Polyurethane Foam
PU foam, also known as sponge or PU foam, is a lightweight, flexible and comfortable open-cell foam material. Polyurethane foam can be made in a variety of densities and colors.
PVC/Nitrile Foam Rubber
NBR foam, also called PVC Nitrile foam rubber, is a polymer blend of Nitrile and PVC. PVC nitrile foam is a flexible, soft, mid-density rubber foam that is excellent at heat insulation and shock absorbing.
Closed Cell PVC Foam
PVC foam is a soft, flexible, mid-density closed-cell polyvinyl chloride foam. It’s also called vinyl foam. Expanded vinyl foam is typically used for seals, gaskets, cushioning pads, weather strips, and insulation tapes.
Neoprene Foam Rubber
Neoprene foam (CR) is a soft, flexible and breathable sponge rubber blend. Neoprene foam is a closed-cell structure with thicknesses ranging from 0.5 mm to 40 mm.
SBR Foam Rubber
SBR foam is a closed cell copolymer of styrene and butadiene foam rubber. It’s like natural rubber. It’s a synthetic foam rubber made for industrial applications, an economical substitute for other foam materials.
EPDM Foam Rubber
EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) foam is a closed cell mid-density foam rubber material that is used for a variety of industrial and commercial applications. In many ways, it’s better than foam rubber.
Choose A Reliable Foam Material Fabricator to complete your foam project
Foam raw material producers usually only produce original foam blocks and basic foam sheets, so for the final foam products, it has to be the downstream covering or fabrication company that completes the fabrication process.
